Video for restaurants, cafés and bakeries.

For a restaurant, café or bakery, useful video is short, vertical and regular: one dish, one gesture, one atmosphere, every week. Ryze AI Studios produces these reels and ads with AI, from photos of your real dishes and your real dining room. The basic rule is simple: what the video shows must match what the customer gets on the plate.

What are the video challenges for a restaurant?

A restaurant has everything it takes for video: steam, fire, gestures, sound. The problem lies elsewhere.

  • Time. Service does not stop for a shoot, and the team has no time to film every week.
  • Regularity. On social media, regularity is what builds a standing date with your audience.
  • A changing menu. Dish of the day, seasons, new items: the content has to keep up.
  • Faithfulness. An image that makes people hungry must stay honest. Customers compare it with their plate.

AI production addresses the first three points: the studio works from your photos without tying up the kitchen. The fourth is a working rule, and even a legal one (see below).

Which video formats work for a restaurant or café?

FormatWhere to post itProposed length and framing
Weekly reelInstagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts4 to 15 s, in 9:16
Signature-dish adLocal Meta and TikTok advertising4 to 15 s, A/B versions
The artisan filmWebsite, Google, YouTubeStorytelling, in 16:9 and 9:16
Brand seriesInstagram and TikTok60 to 90 s episodes, every week
Seasonal storiesInstagramShort shots: the winter menu, the summer terrace

For a restaurant, the natural format is ongoing content : a monthly calendar, reels every week and a monthly review. The pace is set together, based on your menu and your budget.

What video ideas suit a restaurant, café or bakery?

The sample briefs shown on the studio’s home page set the tone.

  • Restaurant. For a ramen restaurant: the broth in close-up, a reel every Monday, a warm tone made of steam and the sound of chopsticks.
  • Café. Latte art in close-up, every Monday. Or a branded series : a barista, a 7 a.m. regular, and a running thread that brings the audience back every week.
  • Bakery. Flour hanging in the air, in slow motion. Bread coming out of the oven at dawn. Craftsmanship told like a film, to give value to what you make.
  • Delivery and takeaway. The signature dish in four seconds, ready for TikTok, Reels and Shorts.
  • Caterers and delicatessens. The product in its place of origin, the harvest, the cellar, when that origin is real.

What has the studio already produced for food?

The showreel contains four-second vertical product spots for a café (Alba), a ramen restaurant (Kori) and an artisan (Pulse). These are fictional brands created by the studio for the demo. They show the level of rendering aimed for: steam, warm light, close-ups.

What rules apply to showing a dish or a drink in an AI video?

In Switzerland, the Food and Utility Articles Ordinance (ODAlOUs, art. 12) requires illustrations, presentation and advertising to “correspond to reality” and to rule out any deception about the nature, origin, manufacture or composition of the food. It also prohibits attributing to a food the property of preventing or curing a disease.

For a generated video, this means:

  • the portion, ingredients and plating shown are those on your menu;
  • an origin shown on screen (“Swiss beef”, “tomatoes from our garden”) must be true;
  • no health promise suggested by the image or the text.

Alcoholic drinks. The ODAlOUs (art. 43) prohibits any advertising for alcoholic drinks aimed specifically at young people under 18. For spirits, the Alcohol Act goes further: according to the Federal Office for Customs and Border Security, advertising is only allowed if it relates directly to the product. It is prohibited to praise a lifestyle whose positive aspects would be due to the drink, or to offer special deals. A cocktail-bar reel is therefore built around the product, not a party. Beer and wine fall outside the Alcohol Act but remain subject to the ODAlOUs.

General information on Swiss law, not legal advice. In France, Belgium, Germany or Austria, alcohol advertising follows its own national rules: have your case checked.

How does the studio work with a kitchen in full service?

  1. Your photos. Dishes, dining room, shopfront. A face from your team is only used with that person’s consent.
  2. The calendar. The month’s topics, aligned with your menu and your key moments.
  3. Approval. You approve the script and the storyboard before anything is rendered.
  4. Delivery. Edited, subtitled reels in the right format. As an option, the studio schedules and publishes on your networks.

What does the studio not do for a restaurant?

  • Show a dish that is not on the menu, or more generous than the one served.
  • Have fake customers give testimonials, or generate reviews.
  • Link a spirit to partying, seduction or success.
  • Promise a number of views or covers.

Frequently asked questions

Can an AI video show my actual dish?

Yes. The studio starts from photos of your dishes, taken by you or a photographer. Plating, portion and ingredients stay those on your menu: in Switzerland, the Food Ordinance requires presentation and advertising to match reality.

How often should a restaurant post reels?

The studio offers a monthly production with videos every week. The right pace depends on your menu, your key moments and your budget: it is set together, in the quote.

Can you make a video for a cocktail or a wine?

Yes, within limits. In Switzerland, any alcohol advertising aimed at under-18s is prohibited. For spirits, advertising must relate directly to the product, without praising a lifestyle or offering special deals.

Do you have to say the video is AI-generated?

Platforms ask creators to label realistic AI-generated content. The studio adds the label when regulation requires it and advises on the wording for each network. The full framework is in the rights and disclosures guide.

How much do reels for a restaurant cost?

Every project is quoted individually: the site publishes no price list. The amount depends on the number of videos per month, the formats, the languages and options such as publishing. The pricing page details these factors.
