AI brand film: spot, launch, short film.
An AI brand film is an ad, a launch film or a short film whose shots are generated by artificial intelligence, under human art direction. At Ryze AI Studios, this is the Spot offer: script, storyboard, art direction, cinematic renders, editing, sound design, A/B versions and versions in 16:9, 9:16, 1:1 and 21:9. AI is the right choice for settings that cannot be filmed, other eras or imaginary worlds. To show real people or a real place, a shoot is still preferable.
Ad spot, launch film or AI short film: what is the difference?
All three are made the same way. They differ in their goal and in where people watch them.
| Format | Goal | Where it is seen |
|---|---|---|
| AI ad spot | Make a product or offer memorable, with a call to action. | Paid advertising on social media, YouTube, screens. |
| Launch film | Announce a product, a collection, an opening or a season. | Website, social media, launch event. |
| AI short film | Tell a story in which the brand lives inside the narrative. | YouTube, website, screenings, excerpts on social media. |
If you want a story that comes back every week, the right format is not a film but the branded series. For reels and short ads in volume, see the page AI video ads.
What does the Spot offer include?
- Script : the idea, the structure, the hook, the dialogue or voice-over.
- Storyboard : the shot-by-shot breakdown, approved by you before any render.
- Art direction : light, palette, sets, costumes, camera style.
- Cinematic renders : each shot generated, sorted and chosen by the team.
- Editing : pacing, colour grading, titles and subtitles.
- Sound design : music, sound effects, voices and mixing.
- A/B versions for your campaigns.
- Versions in 16:9, 9:16, 1:1 and 21:9.
Options: voices and subtitles in French, English and German, making-of, extra ad versions, publishing on your accounts. The offer is quoted on request. The pricing page explains what makes the amount vary.
How does one film become four formats?
You don't just crop the image. A shot designed for 21:9 leaves a lot of space on the sides. In 9:16, the same shot can lose its subject. Versions are therefore planned from the storyboard: we note which shots will be reframed, which will be regenerated and which will change order.
| Format | Use | What changes in the edit |
|---|---|---|
| 21:9 | Cinema version, screenings, website banner. | Wide shots, calmer pacing. |
| 16:9 | YouTube, website, LinkedIn. | Usually the master version. |
| 1:1 | Feeds, ads. | Subject recentred, larger text. |
| 9:16 | TikTok, Reels, Shorts. | Hook in the first seconds, tight shots, subtitles readable with the sound off. |
What are A/B versions for?
An A/B version is a variant of the same film that changes a single element: the hook, the first shot, the music, the ending or the call to action. Both are shown to comparable audiences and you keep the one that performs best on the chosen metric. With AI, producing a variant does not mean going back on set. State in your request how many variants you want to test and on which criterion.
Why does sound design matter so much?
Generated shots have no sound. Everything you hear is built: the ambience of a place, footsteps, wind, music, voice. It is often the sound that makes a shot believable. A period setting without its background murmur feels empty. The studio includes sound design in the offer, with a mix for each output format.
When is AI the right choice for a brand film?

- Impossible settings. A mountain summit, the ocean floor, outer space, a city that does not exist.
- Other eras. Antiquity, the Middle Ages, a past decade, with costumes and crowds.
- Imaginary worlds. A visual universe of the brand's own, consistent from one film to the next.
- Products in a setting. The showreel features luxury and perfume spots for fictional brands created for the demo. For a real product, the studio starts from your files.
- Campaigns in many versions. Several formats, several languages, several hooks from the same film.
Examples are in the showreel on the home page.
When is it better to shoot?
- When the film relies on your CEO, your team or your real customers.
- When it has to show a specific place: your shop, your workshop, your hotel.
- When every product detail matters: size, material, exact colour.
- When it documents an event that actually happened.
The studio does not shoot. It can complement your existing images with generated shots, with your written approval. The criteria are detailed in the comparison shoot, AI or hybrid.
Should a brand film disclose AI?
It depends on the content and where it is shown. In the European Union, the AI regulation requires disclosure of a "deep fake", meaning content that resembles real people, places or events and could pass for authentic (art. 3, point 60). For an evidently artistic, creative, satirical or fictional work, the obligation is limited to disclosing the existence of such content in a way that does not hamper the display of the work (art. 50, para. 4). These obligations have applied since 2 August 2026, according to the European Commission. Platforms also have their own rules, summarised on the page AI content.
The studio adds the "AI-generated content" label when regulations require it, and recommends it. The Swiss framework is covered in the guide rights, labelling and quality.
General information, not legal advice. For a campaign in several countries, have your case checked.
How does production work?
Like all the studio's productions: brief, script, storyboard, renders, editing, sound, release. You approve the script and the storyboard before the first render. The quote sets the formats, the timeline and the usage rights: media, duration, territories. Each step is detailed on the page AI video production.
Frequently asked questions
Can an AI advertising film be shown in cinemas or on a big screen?
The offer includes a 21:9 version, the cinema format. State the screening venue and its technical requirements in your request so they are included in the quote.
Can our real product be used in the film?
Yes, from your photos and files, with your written approval. Check the product on the storyboard and then on every delivered shot: shape, colour, label.
How much does an AI brand film cost?
The Spot offer is quoted on request, with no published rate. The amount depends in particular on the number of shots, the style, the versions, the A/B variants and the usage rights. See the pricing page.
Can a real person appear in an AI film?
Only with that person's written consent, based on their photos. For a recurring face without a real person, the studio offers an AI-generated brand character, described on our page about the AI ambassador.
Can the film exist in several languages?
Yes. The studio produces voices and subtitles in French, English and German. Specify the languages in your request.
